Emily Torres

Emily is passionate about inclusion and human rights. She currently works at the National Democratic Institute, a non-partisan NGO supporting democratic development throughout the world through projects supporting inclusive governance and rule of law. Emily’s involvement in One Journey is reflective of her belief that when the prevention of displacement through the development of sustainable and inclusive mechanisms of social progress is no longer an option, it is our duty as members of humanity to serve as a source of refuge to those on journeys more arduous than our own. She joined the core team in 2022 after interning for One Journey and recognizing that her organizational skills are well suited to the institutional development of One Journey and the planning of its activities so that One Journey can continue to support its mission.
