Looking forward, One Journey anticipates 2024 to be a volatile year for politics and immigration and one of new realities for refugees globally. We are choosing not to host our annual festival this summer, but rather focus our energy on honing our mission, while still organizing and hosting smaller-scale events throughout the year, including our Soccer Fest and a World Refugee Day-aligned event. During 2024, we will explore ways to widen the lens of our mission, broaden our recognition of refugee talents and contributions, and focus the energy of our incredible volunteers so we can continue to make a difference in advancing the positive narrative about refugees and displaced peoples.
